• We had a truly lovely wedding here- the grounds and the building itself are absolutely beautiful. The food was fantastic and overall we had a great experience.

  There are just a few things worth being aware of:
  Some miscommunication during the planning regarding candles and meal costs, draughts near top table and additional invoice payment timeframes being tight.

  That said, it really was a beautiful venue, especially on an autumn day, and our wedding planner was absolutely lovely– a big thank you to her for all her support. Overall, we would still recommend the venue, just with the above points in mind.

• My husband and I got married at The Great Barn in August 2025. From our first viewing of the venue the year before we were obsessed! The scenery, the buildings, and the overall feel of the venue was just what we had in mind for our wedding day. As the planning process commenced it was clear that the team were thorough and organised, leaving no aspect of the day unspoken about to ensure our wishes were carried out. Alice, our wedding coordinator was very attentive at answering all our questions throughout and helping up find a plan that suited our wants. The visits throughout the year helped us plan what decor we needed and how we would want things set up, and the menu tasting night acted as an exciting date night!

  On the day itself, the whole team and The Great Barn were so friendly and attentive! Myself and the my husband really got to enjoy the day how we wanted as Alice and her team got to work ensuring we didn't have to worry about a single thing... and we didn't as it was all taken care of!

  We ended the evening in one of the neighbouring cottages to hire, feeling so grateful to the whole team for looking after us and our guests so we'll and for ensuring our wedding day went just as we had spoken about in the months leading up to the day itself.

• Myself and my husband got married at the great barn in November 2025.
  From the moment of viewing the great barn we knew it was exactly the place we wanted to get married.
  Alice our wedding manager was phenomenal, she made us feel at ease with the run up to the wedding and the professionalism Alice showed threw-out the whole process was next to none.
  Our special day was perfect thanks to all the staff, the food was amazing. The building itself is beautiful, and we truly couldn’t fault a single thing.

• We got married at The Great Barn on the most beautiful sunny Octobers day. When we viewed The Great Barn the staff were so friendly, helpful and mindful of our wishes for our special day. They instantly put our minds to ease by providing all the information we needed to make our decision confidently.

  From preparations to the morning of the wedding, communication was quick, clear and concise, and they quickly answered any queries we had and if our wedding planner was away another member of staff would respond.

  We can honestly say that our wedding day ran faultlessly thanks to Alice and the amazing team at The Great Barn. The liaison between Alice and our suppliers meant that we didn't have to worry about anything on the day. The ceremony room (The Cart Shed) was the most perfect and beautiful setting to exchange our (very tearful vows).

  The cocktail hour was nothing short of perfect due to the delicious canapes, which they made sure we as the Bride and Groom got to taste every one we chose before our private photoshoot. The bar staff were so organised, and did not leave an empty glass on the sides all night.

  The photoshoot by the lake was the most romantic setting, which in our opinion is just another selling point in addition to the already perfect venue and staff operations.

  The wedding breakfast food service was impeccable, we had so many compliments on the meal, and lack of waiting times. It was the best wedding food we have ever had, on par with eating at a high end restaurant. Everyone received the meal that they ordered, and there was not an empty plate left in sight.

  The evening party topped off a perfect wedding day. The recommended DJ supplier (Smooth Mooves Terry) was extremely professional, approachable, and a great MC. Not missing a beat or an announcement. The wood fired pizzas that were cut into slices satisfied all of our guests, even with the dietary/ vegan requirements that some of our guests had. The pizza was delicious, hot and consumed quickly, and the pizza oven set up is another example of impeccable taste by the Great Barn venue.

  Thank you Alice and to all of the staff at The Great Barn, if we could get married there again we would get Married every weekend!

• We got married at the barn in August 2025 & after only getting engaged in December 2024, we had a very quick turn around.

  We were impeccably looked after from initial contact until after the wedding. The team were really responsive with all our questions & so quick to get back to us with any queries we had, which as a bride, this was so reassuring and refreshing. Our guests & I have nothing but praise for the whole venue & team.

  Not only is the venue itself STUNNING, but our guests still rave about the food (sharing platters) 7 weeks later! ☺️

  Any brides to be - you’re going to be so well looked after, and I can say wholeheartedly that you will not regret getting married here ❤️
